🥣 Vegetable Cabbage Soup (Cabbage Soup)

🥕 Ingredients

  • 2 cups chopped cabbage
  • 1 carrot (sliced)
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tomato (chopped) or 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 potato (optional, for thickness)
  • 4 cups water or vegetable stock
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • Optional: chili flakes, cumin, or herbs

1. Sauté base

  • Heat oil in a pot
  • Add onion and garlic
  • Cook until soft and fragrant

2. Add vegetables

  • Add carrot, tomato, and potato
  • Stir for 2–3 minutes

3. Add cabbage & liquid

  • Add chopped cabbage
  • Pour in water or stock
  • Season with salt and pepper

4. Simmer

  • Cook on medium heat for 20–25 minutes
  • Until vegetables are soft

5. Finish

  • Adjust seasoning
  • Add herbs or chili if desired
