Broccoli cheese patties

Posted on April 15, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a tasty and healthy recipe for Broccoli Cheese Patties—crispy outside, cheesy inside, and great as a snack or side dish:

🥦 Ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (finely chopped or grated)
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 egg
  • 2–3 tbsp breadcrumbs (or oat flour)
  • 1–2 tbsp all-purpose flour (optional, for binding)
  • 1 small garlic clove (minced)
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp chili flakes or paprika (optional)
  • Oil for shallow frying

👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Prepare broccoli:
Steam or boil broccoli for 2–3 minutes until slightly soft. Drain and chop finely. Let it cool.
  2. Mix ingredients:
In a bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, flour, garlic, salt, pepper, and spices. Mix well into a thick mixture.
  3. Shape patties:
Form small round or flat patties using your hands.
  4. Cook:
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Fry patties for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  5. Serve:
Serve hot with ketchup, yogurt dip, or garlic sauce.

🌟 Tips

  • Make sure broccoli is well-drained so patties don’t fall apart.
  • You can bake or air-fry at 180°C (350°F) for 12–15 minutes for a healthier version.
  • Add mashed potato for softer texture.
  • Use parmesan for a stronger cheesy flavor.

🧀 Why it’s great

  • High in fiber from broccoli
  • Good protein from egg and cheese
  • Kid-friendly way to eat vegetables

If you want, I can give you a keto version, air fryer crispy version, or meal-prep freezer version.
